Got some shiny new parts and too excited not to share.

For those of you who don't know me (although it may be obvious from above) I love me some HKS parts.

My next thing on the list was to get some better suspension and also lower the car a bit (nothing mental as I don't want to scrape for fast road use and do daily drive).

So I ordered myself some HKS Coilovers. The ones I ordered were out of stock so I got upgraded to HKS Hipermax IV SP coilovers at no extra cost!

I think I have spent more time than I should have just looking at them 😍

Ride height adjustable, 30 stage dampening adjustment soft-hard, lower brackets height adjustable.

Can drop 60mm at front and 52mm at rear.

Update Time!

Car was in on Friday for Coilovers and Spacers to be fitted all round.

I've gone fairly easy on the lowering, the GT86 is at home hammering round B roads and I don't want to worry about scraping or bottoming out.

Suspension feel is great - a bit firmer than stock but not back breaking! Car handling is also tightened up a lot now, practically no roll and feels like it's on rails. It's also a bit easier to break the rears loose now too!

Update time - more mods!

As we are coming into show season, I've decided this is going to be the year I won't be scared to open my bonnet at shows 😂

I ordered myself some Titanium dress up bolts. Not taking half measures I opted for the Stage 2 kit from dressupbolts in red to compliment accents throughout the car.

From Black seats with red stitching, The theme carries through to the HKS Induction Kit and Blitz Strut Brace.

This kit was an 82 piece kit of Titanium Bolts and washers. From strut braces to even the battery grounding point, it's tidied up the engine bay immensly. They are such a nice deep red colour too.

But enough talk - here's some photos I've taken from doing the install yesterday!

So this one I was keeping under wraps for quite some time, my friend Haris who also owns an 86 had a big plan in mind for show season alongside me.

Those who attended Dubshed at the weekend likely already know what this is, but for those who don't here's some photos!

Haris actually designed these iconic liveries for the GT86 on Gran Turismo, we then presented the designs to Blackwater Graphics around November time with the cars wrapped 4 days before Dubshed.

The hardest part of all of this was undoubtedly keeping it a secret. It was an honour to have centre stage on the NI JDM Legends club stand and a fantastic weekend.

We were just across from Drift Games too and they even included the 86s in their vlog!

Excited for the upcoming show season with the HKS GT86 and as always thank you for reading!

Your taste in cars makes up for your taste in hoodies😂 .. You know I love it. Definitely stood out at dubshed. They both did especially as they where side by side. Absolutely class!😎

I enjoyed this thread as I’m constantly thinking of getting one, esp the aero version, (I met a guy in islandmagee who has a read aero btw) that spoiler is immense. Tho the mod path I would go down worries me lol, did u keep the wrap on it still to this day?
The release of the gr86 and the extra ponies has me tempted also but the aero looks so much better imo.

The GR86 is all sold out as far as I'm aware.

I love the Aero, I always wanted an 86 from 2012 when they released but once I saw the Aero my heart was set on it.

Livery is still on the car to this day!

The GR86 was basically just a body kit anyway?

Yours is lovely, with or without the livery.
