Really must try a Caterham sometime. Always loved the idea of them, and how they look, just never had the chance to get in one.

They're proper raw, noisy and involving, not much else like them!

Not much Mechanical stuff done this week, kind of held up by the Powder Coaters.

But i did get my Engine loom finished 🎉

That should be enough to Fire the car up and display all info on the CAN dash. I've a separate loom to do for the Paddleshift system back to the ECU.

Just casually knocked out a loom like that! lol. You can do my H2R engine loom when I make the swap lol

By the time I had laid the Engine loom into the car, it made sense to more or less do a full Re-Wire, using only the original Fuse / Relay box the car is now wired front to back & Everything so far appears to be working as it should.

Had one Drama with a Faulty Geartronics Gear Potentiometer which was giving the ECU Odd Feedback on the Gear position, ofcourse it was Buried in the Guts of the Engine and not a handy swap. Had to gather Enthusiasm for a few days to tackle that job.

It's got Fluids in now, have fired it over for oil pressure and getting Sensible readings from all Pressure and Temp. Sensors so I expect they are working correctly.

I've to Install a New Battery, Spark Plugs & Set the fuel pressure tonight and then Fire up all being well.

Wiring Finally all completed last week 🎉

So this weekend i got stuck into stripping & wrapping the main tub, i did like the blue but i had a few repairs to do.. and on a mission to not have to rely on anyone (a Painter) or move the car, it made sense to wrap it myself.

Much more time consuming than i expected!

The colour is Acid Green, it looks very fluorescent in the first pic but i'm sure / hope thats just my Garage lights, Decals arriving this week to break it up.

It is very lairy for me, but the finished theme will look the business with all the Carbon Parts re-installed.

Didn’t realise you were wrapping it yourself - fair play! Looks class, way better than the blue.

oh aye, had to have a blast at it..

Trickier than it looks but i'd have Paid for the Finish i've achieved so i'm happy with it.

The Nose I May need some Professional Help with, so many curvatures going on, but i'll have a go!

You could do the nose in sections with that special wire tape stuff they use to do joins. And some strategic decal placement

Fair bit of work on the bonnet too….

When I had mine done, there was containment (maybe oil’s etc) around.. and even wiping die properly some bits where tough to get stuck down.

Under side was a struggle to clear down!

lots of thinners used, seems to grip well enough, however the louvres on the bonnet where a C-UNIT to do aswell.

Maybe the wrap man will get a Bonnet to redo aswell, seems a shame to waste OEM caterham Decals on a poor finish!!
