Just have to bleed brakes and clutch and that’s her ready to drive.

Also strapped the other one up tonight as it’s going tomorrow for a good clean and l underseal before out for the summer.

Feel like I’m always saying “getting there” but feel like I am now.

Probably the most satisfying few nights I’ve had, apart from when I first fired her up, since I started this.

Got the brake lines onto the callipers and all the mounting brackets on too.

Then spent the last two nights torquing. Every bolt to factory specs and marking each to know that they’re done.

I started at the middle of the underneath of the car and worked my way out so now tonight I’m just left with each wheel well to do brakes and drop links etc. I’ve obviously left the camber caster and toe bolts until she’s aligned and then they get a wee colour in also.

Then I fired the wheels on to see what we looked like.

As soon as they were on I realised I’d been a bit ambitious with the height of the front, (below the bloody lift arm) so it looked slammed.

I think the roll centre adjusters with the spacers have also dropped it more than I anticipated as they have a 10-15mm spacer on them too.

I’m going to take the wheels off tonight and adjust the front coil overs up at least an inch and a half.

I’ll then torque each corner and do the castellated nuts properly, fire the wheels back on and lower her down onto a few scaffold planks to see where we are height wise.

The car is a pre facelift but when I bought it it came with a facelift front bumper. @Thumper had a facelift rear so I picked that up at the weekend. Just need to get a number plate surround and a toe eye cover.

Ah lad, it's been a labour of love this one. Can't wait until you get it on the road. I know you'll be mad looking excuses to take it out so come pick me up once you get it roadworthy!
