Complete long shot, but on the look out for a 1.8T A4 or A6 Avant Quattro.

Would consider an Octavia 4x4 too.

Must be 4wd variant.

Around the £1k mark, depending on miles, age etc.

Available in Mk1 1.8T or Mk2 2.0 FSI or TDi.

I'd consider the former as they're sub £1k.

Thanks mate, needs to be 4x4 though.

I'd be sceptical about them too though as I know they are a breakers yard.

Aye, not sure if its the same seller or not though! I'm over in Scotland this week and won't be able to get a look at it until Saturday so was hoping no one else would spot it :p

There's a hatchback version in Bangor for £750 too, but no service history since 2005 and the traction control light comes on intermittently.

Too dear mate! For that sort of money I'd be wanting a B6 A4.

Wouldn't pay more than £900-1000 for an octavia personally and would prefer estate!

I thought that seemed a reasonable price if you could get it for closer to £1250.

I wouldnt be letting my B6 Avant go for anywhere near £1500 and its 2wd. Good condition 4x4 B6 would be 2500 and up.

It probably is reasonable, but I've been watching Octavias and Quattros for weeks on eBay an know what they can be had for! 04 1.8T S-Line avant went for £2450 yesterday! That's ebay prices though, equivalent Usedcarsni etc would be far more.

The eBay ones aren't really realistic and not a true reflection of their value.
