GTi NI Track Day Sunday 18 October 2009
Sunday 18th October saw the return of the famous GTi NI Charity Track Day. Kirkistown Race Circuit was the venue and with a pretty much fully booked pit lane it was set to be a great day for all involved. At twelve noon the action got under way with drivers getting used to the damp conditions but soon the track dried up and the pace of the event picked up somewhat.

This track day was in aid of CLIC Sargent and the charity brought down some of the people they help to get them out for runs in the cars. A selection of rally and race cars were on hand to take these people for runs from various rally championships and the race series at kirkistown. These generous drivers also entertained the general public with passenger runs for a fee of ten pounds which went straight t the charity.

Later in the day the rain started again so a few sideways moments came from the quicker cars and the rear wheel drive machines alike, but this is all part of what a track day is about. At the end of the day a final count of money raised was done and a cheque to the value of £3240 was made to CLIC Sargent.

Well done to all involved and to those who made the day possible.
