I don't normally do these advice threads ............................. but am a bit stuck this time!

My pop has a 928 which has been gathering dust and cobwebs for a while, he's now in the process of getting it cleaned up and back on the road. It currently has 18" Carrera style wheels (see below) but he 'hates' these and wants to change them to 19" something or other and drop it a little. I took a run down to a local Carnoisseur for a nosey at their wheel range and have also just spent an hour googling but to no avail - there are very very few modified 928's out there to get ideas from. It seems to be a very difficult car to pick a wheel for which actually suits it - anyone have any suggestions?

    No TSW venoms please (A)

Chris, they're a nice rim but they're the standard rim which originally came with the car :p he wants something new. I think they can only be got in 17" anyway

19's not be far too big for it? Even those 18's look too big imo.

    What about something like these?

I like the idea of the LM's ... maybe even 18" would do ... body coloured centres and carbon centre caps with look the business on that motor ... (y)

Gaz i think you defo need something chunky for that bodyshape. 5 spokes are a bit predictable but will look shweet.

What about these deep dish jobs? I think 18 is plenty but who am i to stop you da pimping!

Any OEM Porsche wheel for me. Nice quiet cars.

19" - the ride will be terrible, guaranteed. I would stay with the OEM 17", or possibly 18" if size is really important to him.

Lower - oh yes, get Nitrons and fresh bushes in there (y)

If he hates the wheels on it theres no hope for improving...Turbo wheels are the perfect wheel for a 928!

    x2. D-d-don't do it!

Couldn't disagree more. Like the owner I reckon they're one of Porsche's worst looking wheels. Ah well, here's a few suggestions.
