mk2 Ibiza GTi, 8v or 16v would be quicker to 60, but not top end wise. Can be picked up for around 800-1300 quid

Something practical, daily driver, at least 4 seats, doesn't need constantly rebuilt..

Very few of the above cars are even geared for 140. Love the 90's old skool

    10 seconds!?*-)
They are alot quicker than that man, mines does over 60mph in 2nd gear and is quicker both in gear and from a standing start than a ctr, been tried and tested....it is modified though, but even standard they are nowhere near as slow as 10 seconds

VR6s are around the 7 sec mark are they not? Definitely not 10 secs to sixty.

Jdm bb4 chassis prelude. 2 wheel steer 197 bhp and lsd box. As said before could be had for under 1k and if your over 30 with lots of chest hair you look awesome in one as you would in a calibre. Medallian man status ftw.

They do need a few mods as in standard form they were marketed as a comfy motorway cruiser...but throw a set of coilovers, lightened flywheel and a few mods to open up that engine and they go rightly. They are easily supercharged too(b)

Doing 150mph in some of those suggestions would be verging on suicide...

as said above, 850 R ticks all the boxes.... can be remapped for pennies to circa 300bhp or so. uber practical, strong reliable engines, 90s old...'skool'. Although the thought of doing 140 in something under 2K..... or any calibra... slightly frightens me :|.
