As with the Fords Heritage Pics. Vauxhall have followed up now with their tucked away classics. More here: http://pistonheads.com/gassing/topi...76410&nmt=RE: PH Blog: Vauxhall's hidden gems
All this stuff sits in the heritage centre in Luton beside the head office Griffin House. Having been round it a couple of times I hate to say it but some of the stuff wouldn't exactly be "mint" by my standards either.
HSR and Carlton are class.....everything else is pretty naff to be honest its pretty obvious im not a vauxhall fan.
That Mk1 astra brings back memories, My dad had one many moons ago and I tortured him to keep it for me but he didn’t!!
LOL!!!! As much as i dont like Vauxhalls, i still have to appreciate the various models still left there in good condition and its nice to see how things have changed over the years (well apart from the fact they're still sheite ).
Some cracking cars there, firenza , chevette , carlton , gte astras, top cars in their day. When you think back to what all the other manufactures had to offer then you have to admit that vauxhall opel were ahead in sharp looking cars.
I could spend all day there. Some fine machines alright. Can you just dander in or do you need to speak to someone to get in?
Its not open most of the time, they have open days which would normally be the only days the public can get in. Some clubs and stuff I think organise days in it.
