We heard the same but to be honest its the better through the corners than my 4WD Starlet on coilovers. Its more prone to locking up the rears on down shifts if you dont heel and toe it right. We are flat through Dettors at 110 and it may give a little wiggle but if you dont lift off its not a problem. If it had a closer ratio box it would be a lot better, coming out of a few corners its way out of the power band and you are waiting for it to pick up, the gear below is to high revs.

Now, its never been wet since we had it there, that may be a bit of an arse opener for us lol.

I love Mondello.. Well worth the trip down and a few extra quid! I've never driven the international track but the smaller track was great for the Westie, much more technical than Kirky.

Hmm I've no excuse not to go to this one so will be there unless our wonderful summer weather continues in which case I'll take a boat round.

@evo98 I've only ever been a passenger at Mondello but there are a lot more corners, some of which seemed pretty tight. Less run off too in places.

Did Mondello (International circut) last year with 10 other S2000s. Yes quite technical, but the twisties are great. Planning another S2k track day for August in Mondello at the mo.

@S2000-sam, there is an Octane trackday at Mondello on 27 July. The last one was very good, booked in for this one too.

There is also a Mondello Open Day on 15 July (same day as Trackskills). First "pure" Open Day this year, no time attacks.

    Both full International.

You want to go to Mondello (y)

Proper race track, technical, completely different ballgame from Kirkistown.

Make sure you get the full International track though. The National layout is ok, but not really worth the drive down from NI.

@evo98 Tony, Retro-Stock also do days at Mondello, your car would fit right in. I was chatting to Fergal McGovern who helps run it and he said you would be welcome. Have a look on their site http://retrostock.ie/
