HI guys and girls, just a heads up about a trackday in mondello in 2 weeks time. the format of the day is open pit, international circuit for the full day. the price is 195 euro for the full day or 130 for a half day. Interesting. Who is organising? How many cars, etc.? What type of cars - road/race/etc.? Very few "official" days at Mondello these days All VIP days cancelled this year, and the normal trackdays replaced with a bit of driving between races at drift/sprint events. Totally different crowd.
Hey, my name is Barry, my company trackday.ie will be running 'VIP style' days in mondello from now on. I don't forsee anymore VIP days run by mondello but the open day format seems to be working better along side time attack albeit,as you say, with a very different crowd. Wayne Douglas/ Douglas driver development will be down on the day with his touring car and driving simulators in the pit garages. He will be providing tuition on the day. There will be approximately 45 cars there on the day. All cars are welcome as long as they follow our guidelines as regards on track etiquette. So far the people ho have signed up for the day are mainly octane.ie and BMW-driver.net members. Lots of M power, lotus and Porsche stuff signed up for the day.
Sounds good Prices not bad either. Only problem is it is mid week, and I will probably be in Belgium that week - otherwise would have been perfect
Weekends are impossible to get. There is always racing in mondello or drifting or motorbikes etc. Weekdays are all that's available usually
Sure, all VIP days used to be weekdays too, and many of the open days as well. Try getting Mondays or Fridays, easier for us up north as we can make a long weekend of it
