Have this wee motor out on a 24 Hour test drive as a car to replace some of our company wagons. Im Impressed so far and looks like Hyundai have moved on leaps and bounds with this yoke Dash Instrument Cluster Not much it doesnt have to be honest, I was averaging about 50mpg city and out to crawfordsburn, claims 62mpg combined cycle. £690 deposit £230 a month starting point seems fair too.
Very nice Bunyip and seems to have hit the company car market perfectly and at the right time when everyone is counting pennies. Overall its quiet to drive and handles suprisingly well for an estate on not very broad tyres. Even a quote for 20K a year with maintenance is under £300 ex vat which is just nuts cheap
We got one at the tail end of last year for our Sales Manager, he had to go to Kilkeel and then back to Ards the other day, he told me it was averaging 65mpg and he doesnt have the lightest right foot... It has Sat Nav, Bluetooth, reversing camera and sensors, dual zone climate, etc, etc, etc and its not even the top of the range one... It is contract hired for 20k miles per annum at £260ish a month plus VAT but not including maintainance... As it is a Blue Drive model it has a very low CO2, and our guy pays less tax (Benefit in Kind) Smiles all round...
Great company car there, makes a lot of sense financially. Quite a good looking car too, not seen one of those before. Win/win I would say.
They're a very good VFM car. Their badge/pedigree has much improved too from Hyundai's of old, though sadly many people still lump them into the 'cheap Korean car manufacturer' category which is a bit undeserved at times as their cars are quite good quality.
i like it. be a nice wee runabout indeed. I quite like some of the new Hyundais Especially the new Veloster Turbo
Hyundai and Kia are pretty much the same these days. Same platform and engines etc for a lot of them. Hyundai's have always been pretty good reliable cars though. Not sure if the latest partnership with Kia will affect that. But they defo make some good value stuff
Guy at the Hyundai dealership was saying that even the light bulbs and wiper rubbers are covered under the warranty LOL
Looks really nice Paul. Always liked Hyundai. Such a massive step up since the days of the old Stellars
Oh my lord - I had those banished from my memory since the day I last saw one - and that was a LONG time ago! What a horrible looking thing!
If u were with us at Agnew Corporate we would put it on the list ;-) Great car this new i40, we had a top spec one for a month demo there and I drove it over new year there and was really impressed, the koreans are going to have a big year this year in the fleet market!
