    G'day oh you knowledgeable folk...

Looking to improve my set up in the Audi and am looking for advice or recommendations...

I have an Audi B6 model but it only has the single din fitment (double din conversion was considered but too much hassle for me), i am looking to buy a unit that combines several features ie sat nav, dvd, cd, radio and hopefully bluetooth or parrot incorporated, needs to be compatible with iphone4 both for bluetooth reasons and for music library..

Have spent time googling, researching on the net and tbh my head is pickled so any real advice, experience, recommendations would be greatly recieved...

Mainly i've been looking towards Alpine, Kenwood and Pionneer but thats not a definate supply list by all means..

    Many Thanks, Avo..

I'm biased towards the Kenwood single din units, only because I've had a few in the past. But it get expensive adding the extras (£149 for bluetooth, £499 ish for sat nav iirc)

I had a Kenwood DDX5022BT (without nav) and it was great. It had the Parrot bluetooth built in.

I'd be looking for the likes of a DNX5220BT, 40BT or 60BT. However they all have the smaller screen. I also had a DNX8220 which has the larger screen that slides down to reveal the disk drive.

Personally speaking I would avoid Pioneer, I just prefer Kenwood and Alpine.

    Avo,
I'd get the double din conversion, then you wouldn't have the hassles associated with motorised screens. Kenwood, Alpine or Pioneer are the choices for me too!

I did look at the Double Din conversion but the whole pulling out the dash to replace the audio cage put me off the idea tbh

I thought you just needed to move the climate controls down, but the dash didn't need removed? It was like that with the A3 anyway.

    Is there such a thing...??

I have managed to pick up a Billy Bargain on ebay for £150, Alpine with all the added extras apart from the reverse camera but thats only a £14 add on for the Avant...

Do you need a reversing camera tho..?

They are actually fun to get ridiculously close to the vehicle behind you, when parking...
