Basically i've got 2-3 stone chips on the front of the car, they've been there since i bought it and have always bugged as the car is mint a part from them. Incase it makes a difference 2 are on the bonnet (metal), and 1 on the bumper (plastic) They are far from bad, in fact they are tiny so id imagine for someone who does this type of thing they would be easily sorted! Its usually a detailer service that does the likes of this as far as i can tell, so basically i'm wondering what is the actual process for filing them in? Do they touch them in and then wet sand or something? PMG autocare seems to be the name cropping up when this is mentioned but never seen any before and afters etc so just wanting some advice or experiences other people had with this? Any other guys or companies come recommended? As it would be a shame to mess with these chips on my car if they couldn't be returned to near factory finish, hence my hesitation in fixing them
Only man for the job it seems lol You guys all used him? Maybe a long shot but wouldn't have any pictures of his work? I checked his site there but only seems to have scratch repair pictures, might drop him a PM and get him to post in this thread so can benefit anyone else interested rather than just myself
Saw one he was working on when I was up getting him to look at some damage to the boot on my last car. Hadn't completely finished the repair and it was almost invisible. I'll be getting him to sort some chips on my 1er.
Ive dropped him a PM linked to this thread to see if he had any pictures of his work or information on the process of touching in the chips so he can post here to benefit anyone else interested in having some repaired rather than just myself http://pmgautocare.co.uk Thats his site, seems he's located ballyclare direction
PM replied to. I really need to start photographing more work as we have alot of very nice cars in lately
