Rant time again for me! Was coming home on sunday night from Lurgan, going towards Silverwood (home direction i always go). Well it was about 10.50 at night, as dark as it'l get, and I was driving up to the traffic lights just past McDonalds and was going right. Now you can wait for the filter to go on or when its clear go ahead when theres just a green light. So I was waiting there for about 4 cars to go past then I drove across the junction. But then once I had starting moving out of nowhere I see a toledo coming at me from the left doing at least 50mph, with no friggin lights on! Now I didnt see this car previously when I was waiting at the junction, or I wouldn't have went! Needless to say I soiled my boxers and planted the right foot hoping to get out of the way before he hit me, which I was 99% sure he was. Because when I spotted the car it was literally 20 yards away from me and fast approaching. But luckily I got out of the way somehow, didnt even believe it at first! So I drove on towards home. But then when I looked in the mirror I see a toledo, with no lights on coming up behind me. He turned on his lights and proceeded to tailgate me until we got of Lurgan, then he overtook me, then emergency stopped in front of me! I was ragin, then he took of again. Then the road splits into two lanes, one for straight on and one for going right. He went to the right lane and slowed down so I sped up a bit and soldiered on ahead, but then once i was about parallel with him, he decides to join my lane again, making me brake hard. After this he swerved right again to try and make the turn, which he didnt, forcing him to mount the kerb, at this part I chuckled. It was a blue seat toledo lowered on white RS6's and had a CB aerial. I plan to report him once I see him again and get his number plate. What number do I ring to report him btw? Cheers, Ben
That bucket is in town nearly every night. Hop in a mates car and go have a look tomorrow night Ben. If I see it I'll try get a reg. But report it now, tonight, and explain you couldn't get the reg but you recognise it as its around town all the time so you'll inform them of the reg at a later date?
What nicky said. I'd torture the cnut for that. Wait til its parked up, screw the valves out of the tyres etc.
wat a root i hate when you get tools like that tryin to race you your just like **** off im tryin to go somewhere.. Definitely report the **** tonite an ring in wit the reg later, the fuzz probly know the car already
Reverse into him at speed, that way you can drive off, or at least you can in theory as the engine/rad won't be damaged, don't come blaming me if a wheel falls off or something and he catches you
So all the street lights were broke, if you couldnt spot a car coming towards you with no lights on how could you spot a pedestrian? And are 100% sure you are allowed to go with no filter light?
You should've just drove straight to the Police station, with him up your hole. If you're feeling intimidated is this not the recommended thing to do?!
Pedestrians don't tend to run at 50mph. Sounds like a right tool bag. Seen a full on numpty in a slammed white MK3 Polo on the Cregagh road yesterday try to knock a guy off his moped just for overtaking him. Tried to memorise the reg number but by the time I got home my memory had failed. Must troll the forums looking for it.
Regardless of not having the reg, it is a recognisable car in the area so report it anyway this morning if you havent already. Once you get the reg, you can then follow it up and ask for progress aswell.
I know the car too. Easily done in Lurgan tho, I've driven without lights on AND almost had a huge accident on the same road due to someone else not having their lights on. Wouldn't tailgate them tho whole way out the road tho. @ Ben, should've took him flat to the mat down the back off Hall Rampart, if its as low as I remember he wouldn't be following for too long down there
