If its not as described or not up to scratch, you shouldn't have to worry about it. Let the person or company that you bought it from organise that for you, it should be done at their cost also.
If it was damaged in transit then it is up to the courier to pay the costs but again it really should be up to the seller to organise this for you. Assuming it was insured.
The seller has a duty of care in both examples to make sure a product they are selling is up to scratch.

But with regard to shipping it back to poland i really wouldn't know who is best to use.

Just have to ring up Parcelforce, Fedex etc with the weight and dimensions and get some prices! Have you got the origional packaging for it? The packaging needs to be as small as possible or else your charged volumetric weight, rather than physical.

Tbh i would just keep it and sell it on unless the seller is being reasonable and agreeing to a refund at their expense.

Returned an item ages ago and seller made up sum bull**** excuse that he never got it. If a seller really wants to, they can evade a refund so id just sell it on :-P unless of course it was expensive :-D

For Europe, DHL through Interparcel, insured and tracked etc and they pick it up.

For England, Parcelforce through senditnow.com, £10.50 48 hour service tracked and insured. If its under about 3kgs then post office first class recorded is cheaper though
