Thing is ive been trying to punt my car and as far no joy only a few sniffs i have had it in the Auto trader, Used cars ni,fourms such as this one,in the pappers, and free ads pappers, so im thinking of trying Ebay has anyone ever sold a car on it or bought one even?Just thought people would use ebay for the likes of parts and other smaller items any other ideas you would have to increase my chances of selling my car fire them up please.
Ive had it on Gumtree for a while now this is the car in question i think its a fair price for the spec and model it is. Vauxhall Vectra CDTI SRI 120 For Sale on RMS
mate, one of the probs with it is, you can buy the facelift model with similar miles for same money....
I no the wee spaner light dosent sound good going to get it sorted have been told is more likely a glow plug i have come down in price to the recommended book price for private sale and i keep a eye on other cars the same model and most are price the same or over. But i wanting to about the Ebay auction is it a good idea or should i just bide my time?
If its well advertised its 99% of the time overpriced. Everything will sell at a price. However any small faults in an ad can really put people off. I wouldn't declare minor faults in an ad, they're easier to discuss on the phone if someone is genuinely interested as in the ad they can be taken the wrong way or out of proportion.
Forget any 'recommended' book price - it won't sell. There is a recession on and your model has been updated. If you really want to sell it you will have to take a hit on the price. I would have thought £3995 would attract interest and you will probably get £3750 for it. Sad but that is the reality of things at the moment. Or keep it, get the work done on it, drive it and save on the financial hit.
And Ebay is full of fools. You will sell it on there but in all probability the buyer will back out at the last minute or haggle you down from the finished price. Nightmare.
Im looking a vtr or something like that ro run around in for my self and a 7 seater for the wife and kids.
tbh mate its over priced and id be sticking a set of glow plugs in it to get the spanner light off. £4100 is a fair price
do ebay take 10% final value fee on cars too? that would be £300 from a £3000 sale, which would be expensive advertising.
Eh, no. Sold a few via eBay. Prefer gumtree though. If its cheap it'll sell no bother. Sold my last car on gumtree after 2 hrs. May have been a bit too cheap
Sold my last car through gumtree as well, if it's priced well it will sell. I had a call 2 hours after it was advertised and it was off my drive within 24 hours! It was priced under recommended book price but not by a massive amount.
sad truth is that these cars have taken a nose dive in value. noticed it myself cause im after one bad. iv a honda accord typeR. il swap u if ur interested
