This was the car at the unveiling . Now on to the rally. Here are some pics of the car. Things were going well , until the stage before lunch the battery failed , *we knew it would , but we were going to change it at lunch* So the co driver had to run all the way down a hill about 1/4 of a mile to collect the jump battery from us , to go back to jump the car. Then things went from bad to worse, got the car back to service , ran through it , changed the battery and it would not start , we tried everything but alas we were OTL , then we found what the problem was! A pop out circuit breaker failed , it did not burn or pop out . it just failed . So back to the action he decided to continue driving and ran off the road here is the Video of the crash , sorry no audio. The Sun and Stars Rally On the first stage we had a boost hose come off lost about 45 seconds. The 3rd stage Roger had an off which lead to a 1 min and 30 second loss. Here are pics and some vids from the event

The rally yesterday was loads of fun .Our dampers only came in Thursday night and were fitted , then friday we had to run through , make checks etc , tested saturday , but stopped because of a lack of confident testing grounds. Sunday started well with us 2 seconds off the pace of the focus , but we were on mediums and the rain had fallen over night so after we swapped onto the Zl81 Michelin tire rather than the GZ5 BF goodridge . a few more tweeks of the damper on rebound and high speed and he was back off in the stage , this one was 2 seconds again , not bad for the first time on gravel in a new car and then having to tweek it etc. Then on the 3rd stage a spectator drove out infront of Roger and he had to come to a complete stop ALS off etc, in hopes that the stage would of been cancelled seeing as we were the only one that it happened to we got a bogie time of fastest time in class plus 20% of the time added on , which dropped us 15 or more seconds behind Paul in the Focus. On to the second venue where we beat paul by 1 second in the first , .3 in the second , another second in the 3rd and 9 seconds in the 4th (i think he had a spin in the 4th run). We returned to the first venue to battle out the last 4 stages , paul put a second in roger on the first and another 2 in the second , roger fought back on the 4th to put 2.9 seconds in him . All in all it was a wonderful day of rallying and now the car is totally set up for gravel and we know what tire works where as we had never used the GZ5 , we always ran on the GZ4 but the medium is more stable and of course it lasts longer. Well today was a rough one .....been drinking :lol: Well Jeff panton lost 5th and 6th gear on the very first stage (01 focus) John powell spun (s12) Paul had a time penalty (07 focus) Gary gregg is steady (05 focus) Gary Gregg leads after SS13, the final stage on Saturday. However, he's closely followed by Defending champion Jeffrey Panton and John Powell. The other WRC car, that of Paul Bourne has fallen to 8th overall after suffering a severe time penalty.
