right lads need a hand here got a pipe that comes off the intercooler pipe that goes doen by the turbo thats got some sort of valve on it. also got another 2 pipes that come off a cylinder shape box by the airbox 1 is t-pieced and the other has been disconnected from some where!! can anyone tell me what there for where they should be connected? heres pics.
You're standard boost control pipes have been re-routed and a bleed valve put in its place. I would remove that! What boost is it running atm?!
your guess is as good as mine richy havent got a boost gauge on her all i know is it hasnt got its twin stage boost as it boost like a mother from 2500 upwards
deffo going to have to now id rather get rid of it anyway as i want to get a gizzmo boost controller or atleast fit a boost gauge n see what shes boosting to
A bleed valve and not even a gauge is asking for trouble! I would return it to standard or actuator pressure only until you see what's going on. Doesn't take much to burst one and I speak from experience! Andy
there is a chance that its not detting its tits off at all, who knows as you say, we can only imagine. have you checked for any fueling mods to cope with whatever has been changed boost wise? crude boost control(dawes stylee) as per above, would have me scouring the bay for the more than likely gaugeless Fuel pressure reg! have a look, maybe stick a wideband on there see what she is doing asap. dont go boosting it hard till you know what she is doing. cost you less if you are careful now especially since you can no longer claim ignorance to this potentially fatal(engine wise) mod. get her checked out, or check her out yourself if you have the gear. Phil
good job the cars not being driven then? gunna get my engine builder to check it out and see if theres supporting mods for it. havent really looked into whats done as its all there from when i bought it. the last owner didnt know what it was he thought it might have been something to do with the lpg its got. however before i get the head refurbed gunna get it looked at and a boost gauge is now enroute
