didnt sound like the evo was trying to be honest. though if it was a stock evo it would have had some bother keeping up that wee glanza is sharp enough. about 330hp/ton Phil
exactly quite a few thousand in that motor for sure. but thats not to say the evo was trying, what if the evo was running over 400horsies, then no he wouldnt have been left behind. stock? maybe he was having a go who's to know. Phil
dont know how any one can say the evo isnt trying it clearly is trying and failing big time.......that "cork glanza" is 317hp ...you would need over 400hp in a evo to beat it and even then it would need to be well mapped and setup not the usual "400hp" we see over here. that evo looks like an fq-300 to me thats probley standard ,the cork glanza is a 5e iirc and a td05 ? phil? ...could be wrong. ive owned a 375hp evo 6 running 1.7bar and i was in a 262hp starlet gt running 1.4bar ,lets just say i would have hated to come across that wee car when i had the evo.
that cork glanza isnt passing him too quick, and that wee car is a rocket, so the evo is bound to be trying abit... but if you were in an evo 7 and was getting pestered by a starlet, i think you would either not try at all or you would try and blow the doors of the starlet... but in this case...... fail
that evo sounded like it was only at about 2k revs lol @ the other vid of the cork glanza racing the b18 civic...glanza 1 - civic 0
yeah 5e, but the 262hp gt you were in was only running 1bar td04 soon to be more boost and water meth injection. Phil
yeah if someone is handing them out id do the same, but power for your ££ id be in the gt/glanza overtaking the evo Phil
Doesnt sound like the Evo was trying to hard, bet even so that is one quick Glanza. The noise is awesome!
well you can clearly hear the evo rev out at full throttle when they are side by side but once the evo is behind who knows weither it sayed flat out or not i dont think so, it lost a lot of ground very quickly.the sound is amazing in the toyota sounds aggressive...... i like
evo doesnt seem to be caning it once on the m/way , but a stock evo isnt all that fast from say 60 onwards and you can make anything fast if you throw enough time and money at it plus the glanza driver has now been elevated to god-like status amongst his mates
i think it would of been a lot closer if the evo driver had it at full throttle, but that glanza looks highly tuned anyway....
lol i have to laugh at the doubters on here...of course the evo was flat out, the glanza has serious power around 310-320bhp with a power to weight of something like 350+bhp per tonne, so ud be looking at an evo over the 400bhp to be making it hard for the glanza. Plus u have to consider 4WD transmission losses which the glanza wont suffer when its up and running....glanza does sound a bit laggy but when on boost its very aggressive. evos arent invincible, the ame thing happened when a 240bhp escort RST smoked an evo 6, theres always somebody quicker!
