Does anyone know if its possible to hire personal safety gear and who does it? I mean stuff like FIA/MSA spec rally suits and helmets? I know a lot of people who would like to do the odd hill or sprint but wouldn't have the extra £800 or so to spend on the safety gear before they even start.
Can't think of anywhere that rents gear, your best chance is to borrrow it. Problem is once you've bought a helmet and suit you'll have to do it all over again when the FIA Expiry date comes around. Rule one of Motorsport Club - it isn't cheap.
Check on rally.ie - Stories Some times people have ads on it for helmet&hans device hire. Not sure about suit.

As long as they're FIA passed then there wouldn't be a prob.. If you'r for doing this often even you should try and get some good 2nd hand stuff. Plenty of helmets and suits going at sensible money! Could get all for alot less than 800quid!
i think ears hire out gear, i know of a few other places but they're probably too far as for helmets....buy a cheap one if you want...but you only have one head
