You wanting to run 1 amp or 2? What sort of money are you looking to spend?

If you can find an old Sony XPlod monoblock amp never ever sell it.

I managed to get a brand new one and let it go in the Corsa, regretted it since the day it left!

get an amp putting out 500 watts RMS or less, that way your equal power from the amps in relation to what the subs can handle.

Even though 2x275 is 550? Is that right?

I was looking to do it off 1 amp but would 2 be better?

2 channel amp that will run 600wrms at 2Ohm would be my choice. then it could be used for speakers later. a mono amp may be a little cheaper but can only be used for subs then.

no idea on model numbers been too long since Ive looked at amps!

    whats the budget?

I'd be tempted by a monoblock tbh then buy a two channel to run some components at a later date. Best way to power those two subs on a budget. Might be considered a more short term approach than Pablo' s suggestion though

So really what i should be looking for is a 2 channel 600w amp

when it says things like this:
    • 4 ohms: 95 watts x 2 chan.
    • 2 ohms: 120 watts x 2 chan.
    • Bridged, @ 4 ohms: 240 watts x 1 chan
what should i be looking for?

    nope not even close lol.

i reckon one of the subs would do you, then that amp would be ok. 2 x 275W subs will be pretty overkill

they are 4ohm each but when you wire them in parallel they combine to be 2Ohms. You can wire them in series but that would make them 8Ohms and you end up with very little power (150W ish)
