was always told oil is the life of the engine and wud be a firm believer that summat wi a regular oil change whether thrashed or not will have a better life... i bought mine knowin it was a company vehicle in my bro in laws place and i knew the driver and how it had been treated and serviced thus had no issues wi it...
Your right mook, I always tell people - Oil in your engine is like the blood in your body. If its not cleaned and replaced an engine/you wouldnt last long.
Golfs are hard to find with low miles and immaculate , i spent ages looking at them with my girlfriend and eventually found a mint black 5dr tdi 100bhp match, with all the extras like air con and computer and 4xelectric windows. It had 72k on it and all we had to do to it was a timing belt kit and full service. It wasnt as cheap as some of the gttdis but they were rough and this wee car looked like it was only out of the box. You will get what you pay for , cheap cars mean lots of hassle. My girlfriend has had no bother with it and compared to her old 206xsi shes saving £25 per week on running costs. Good luck
Wasn't meaning that tosound cheeky lol My mate has a mk3 mondy with 110K and its immaculate inside, outside and underneath. I think most modern cars wear well, but they need to be looked after properly to do so Mark RS's Sapph had 100K on the original engine too! Which is good for an old performance car You used to take pics at my house? Are you getting me mixed up with someone else lol?
