I did read the link but can't see the relationship between some woman in the north sueing him and a Mini dealer in the south sponsoring him? Although going by how his past sponsors have finished up I'd say thats one brave Mini dealer!
Being declared bankrupt doesn't stop anyone from driving or rallying. He's driving someone else's car and it looks like someone else is paying for it. I'm not condoning or criticising the man's past actions - I know nothing of his personal life or dealings. But if someone threw me the keys of any competition car and said I'll pay or I've got someone who will pay you to race it, I wouldn't turn it down. I reckon no-one would.
Would you have an idea of the price on the gate? I remember last time i went to some wee crappy event at Kirky it was £10 each on the gate FFS
It will be £10 for a spectator, in all fairness if it would go to all the marshalls and people that organize it I wouldn't mind at all.
it goes to the 500MRCI who own Kirkistown, this is a member owned club so no one makes a profit apart from the club fund which helps keep the place in order, new tar, maintenance etc saying that i have never paid into the place lol
I just think Marshals, Ambulance services etc. all the people that make it happen should get some money for all the effort they put in.I always pay in (unless I'm with you Graham ) and never regret it!
Agreed. Any events i've competed in, all the crews have thrown a £10 each in a bucket which was split between the marshals, ambulances and so on.
Well in fairness st johns and the paramedics will take a fee for the day, marshals and officials will get a free lunch usually so on thinkiong these will all come from entry fees and money on gate with the rest going into the circuit. I'll be down early and snap stage one then slip on
now that i have finally sobered up from Saturday my pictures are here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/thegingerdaddy/sets/72157629003868311/
My fave bit about that top video is the chip cart. You just don't see that type of thing in Loeb and Latvala tests. You know you're big time when you have a chip cart. Donnelly mustn't have brought the piece box with him
