Hi All, Just a post to let you know i am taking part in the Ladies Day Challenge at Superdrive on 14th Aug 2010. I have been known to do various charity events before and have decided this year to do this for the two worthwhile charities Cash for Kids and Marie Curie. 50 ladies captioned by 5 celebrity team captains will take part on the day. They will attempt rally driving, go karting, off road driving and digger driving along with an obstacle course. I knew i would be probably open to comments like that lol, it has been about 5 yrs since i have driven a rally car so it will take a lap or two to dust off the cobwebs! As far as i am aware spectators are welcome. Ring safron at superdrive and she will give you more information. Thanks about the fundraising hopefully you will donate a £1 or 2 then ? !??!?!?!
Just a quick update: Well what a day had yesterday, i don't think im only speaking for myself but for the other 49 girls who also took part. Couldn't have asked for better weather, we had great craic and the activities bar the obstacle course were sooooooo much fun. Well done to everyone who took part and also for the wonderful money raised so far for the 2 worthwhile charities. My team leader was due to be Pamela Ballentine but unfort she came home from holidays sick so i got a text on Friday evening from Superdrive to say we had a new secret captain. On arrival on sat morning our team captain was to be a surprise. Then time for introductions, Ant and Dick came out (excuse the pun!) For those of you who don't know them they are the northern Ireland version of colin and justin the tv interior designers only ant and dick are wedding co-ordinators. Such a days fun with them being 'ladies' for the day!! Thanks so much to them for making us all laugh and cry so much with there wit and banter. (even graham enjoyed it and ant took a shine to him even getting a peck on the cheek at the end of the day) Well done to the boys since they don't even hold a driving license. All that is left to say is thanks to everyone who sponsored me i raised £384 in total. I can't wait to next year and hope that any girl on the forum will come and join me at next years event.
