Looking to know peoples thoughts on the price of my Dc2 i have up forsale at the minute.

    Here's a link to it
    http://reallymeansounds.com/motors/index.php?id=2357

Have I it overpriced or is cars just not selling at the minute, I've had it up for over a month now and alls I've had is people looking to P/X other cars and one lad who was just a complete time waster.

It's a 16 year old Honda and its not overly modified, so I'd say yes, it's overpriced.

DC5's can be bought for that money now, and they are a much better car in every aspect, considering they have a K20, diff, newer, better looking, better condition etc etc and are a much more modern car.

    Depends who too Stevie.

IMHO I wouldn't pay it, could get an ep3 or a not so great dc5 like Nicky said which are fresher/more reliable/better looking/more comfortable place to be and just a more up to date thing to be in and around really. But on the other hand to a real enthusiast if its a clean and well looked after dc2 then I suppose its name your price really. I love the car and no doubt some honda head would appreciate it and happily pay it but its whether you want to wait for an enthusiast who will appreciate it to come around or if you want to just flog it on asap.

It is a lovely car and no doubt in fantastic condition, but looking at the advert the instagram pictures really put me off, they don't properly represent the car

I would have no problem paying that for a dc2, however it would need to be a genuine low milage one in spectacular condition. I would drop the price slightly to see if there is more interest.

definitely too expensive, 120k and slight modification.... no chance. if you get it sold, i think youll be knocking on the door of 2900 before it gets sold.

Would need to be in awesome condition at that money (not saying its not)

Id say £3500 with wheels would be achievable if its cleaned enough (y)

yeh too expensive for 120k miles, advertise or 3250 and take 3000 for it.

The car doesn't have 120k miles, it has 120k kms : 75,000 miles. We must have some specsaver customers here :p

I don't think it's too overpriced but £4k seems to be the magic figure at the moment, where Integras above that price have to be very low mileage or have extensive engine mods to warrant the extra. I'd drop it to £3750 as it sits and see how that goes.

@Cooper could add the option miles/km would give him some "forward slash back slashing enjoyment"

Since people dont read 90% of the stuff after the basic facts :p (y)

He could, but I've a funny feeling he'll agree that it would be much easier if people just read the ad before commenting on it (y)

I got 3850 for my 96' Spec DC2 last October and it was pretty much standard. Sold within a week of advertising on pistonheads, though it went to France. The big thing for him when buying though was that it was near standard so was easier to register back in France.

Change the ad to primarily state miles rather than Kms. Could be a lot of people are reading it as 120k as seen above.

i would echo this , yes it has a few choi ce mods but if it was lower miles with wheels at 3800 it would be away , im not doubting its a good car but mods will only compenste the miles imo . if someone offers you 3600 with the wheels id break their arm for it

ps . only read the kms post after . doesnt seem to high a price but the main problem is getting someone out that doesnt have a part ex , id take it for a 182 clio tho :p

As mentioned above I don't think it's too far away, few hundred lower and with the wheels and it should sell. The price of these cars in the south at the minute probably isn't helping things either, if your car was in the mainland it would already be away.

Maybe just a pet hate of mine, but ads where you have to add money to the asking price for additional parts which are already on the vehicle just irritate me.

Very debatable, most people I know who have drove / owned both would usually disagree.
