As some of you know, I've been trying to shift a car for a while now (I won't put a link as I'm asking this question, not promoting the car) but despite being £400 cheaper that anything similar age/miles on Autotrader and over £900 less than Pistonheads and other sites, it still hasn't budged.

So the question is, despite there being nothing wrong with it, have I priced it in such a way that people will automatically assume there is? Would you not even considering calling about a car if you deemed it too cheap for what it is?

    no, thats nonsense......

people just dont wanna part with money right now and are buying cars at less than 1k and all the hype about diesel being this wonderfull stuff that will get you everywhere for next to nothing means big petrol engined cars are hard to sell on, its like everything you need to just get the right man at the right time unfortunately, ive no patience either thats why i always offer swaps/px.

It's the wheels - get them swapped for OE versions and it will sell quicker.

AT trader is a lost cause...

have you it on UCNI ?

agree with Marc, std wheels would make me look twice at it if i was on the market for such a car

It's the market at the min Rocko. @Ge0rge pretty much summed it up.

Probably, but at a price and I'd rather not spend anything on it and then have to raise the price to accomodate that. I'm tempting to heur some silver paint at them though, I agree it ruins the car with them in black.

I'm sure you could sell those and get enough to cover the cost of a set of OE wheels/tyres.

Another vote for the wheels, it's looks a bit gangsta at the minute. Nice set of mv's would sell it.

Get it onto Gumtree and Donedeal. People slag them but I've sold some expensive cars on them when I didn't get a phonecall from Pistonheads and AT!

    Illegal I believe?

Bloody wheels. But would people in the know not take the low price into account and budget some new wheels?

You're limiting your audience to 'people in the know' though. All it does is decrease target.

Not being arsed to cut your grass before taking the photos isn't doing you any favours either mate.

@chapletown just put new wheels on his car, perhaps he has a set of OE wheels he could sell/swap for yours.
