Hi Chris Mac You gotta go for the manual and the sport model I have 2001 330ci and it is a brillant motor. Love it. You do hear horror stories about any with over 70-80k about overheating etc and water pump goes. Some people reported water pump going at 100k etc or not going at all. Me i did not want to take the risk. The one i bought had 79k when i got it. If you are buying one, i would change the water pump, theromstat and header tank, some change the top hose as well, depending on miles of cousre. I got water pump from motoglass, thermo and header tank from bmw, changed coolant etc and belts all the parts came to about £150 and changed in less than 2 hrs myself. very easy worked on. I think will worth the piece of mind, i know of 3 bmw owners (2*3 series and z4) all have said their water pump went and car overheated. Costs maybe 10 times the 150 or more to repair, especially if u need a 3.0 litre engine. Good luck in finding a nice 330ci they are a really great car. Cheers N
As said before I'm sure if you hold out for right one you'll not be disappointed .. I love mine! What's ur budget? What max miles? Any colours you wouldn't consider?
