For all those members in N Ireland here's a very special offer available from Agnew VW Cars at their Mallusk dealership in Glengormley, Belfast - absolutely free of charge! (y)

My wife got the surprise of her life when she arrived home with her brand new VW having taken delivery late on Friday evening last. This fantastic finish was provided at no extra cost as a last minute surprise [after waiting for three months!]

Needless to say she was overwhelmed at their generosity when she discovered this nifty new finish as it glistened in the bright evening sunshine around teatime. God bless these clear late summer days.........

Have a look at it's real beauty for yourself:

This fine standard of finish is provided courtesy of Autokleen the onsite subcontracted cleaning outfit. What a job!

Not sure whether available at other Agnew Dealerships, though I did read elsewhere that apparantly there is a wonderful brush washing machine at Boucher Road guaranteed to provide you with a similar result with an everlasting finish.

This great offer is brought to you by Major R Sole [Sydney Pentland] and his sidekick Dick Head [Richard Ingram]

She should give it a polish or something. Paint looks a bit funny.

Holy **** mate. Brand new? That's shocking.

I've read of people getting pre-delivery details done which I thought was rediculas on a brand new car but it now looks like the way to be. That's just unbelievable mate. Hope you've taken it back.

That is pretty shocking, I'd be sending them the bill for full paint correction

It actually looks like the brushes were on the car dry!

Agnew VW (Autokleen) and Agnew SEAT (non Autokleen) are the only two Agnew Dealerships to use a Brush wash, all the other Dealers (which are Autokleen) just use Super TFR to get the dirt off the cars

Get onto the credit company if the dealer doesnt want to know. I hear they fight your case on pretty well as you tell them you arnt accepting the car or something??

Even if it gets "corrected" isnt that just removing a bunch of paint?? still cutting the life of the paint right?

Shocking, I was down last week to pick my mums new chevvie from Donnelly’s in Mallusk and they couldn’t do enough, they have their own east European fella that washes and machine polishes the vehicles before collection.

X2. Dont let it go. If they get away with that giving out brand new cars like its been washed with a cheese grater once itll happen time + time again. Or contact your local citizens advice. Youve paid your own money for that car so I for 1 would not be letting it go. Keep us updated.

That is bloody awful, unreal that a new car could be delivered looking like that!!

Hope not all VW dealers are like that, my Mum is awaiting delivery of a new VW and if it looks like that I'll be making sure she gets it sorted!

Id take it down and park it right at the door of the dealers and refuse to move it until they agree to fix it.

Happening all over the country - I had to reject a 300C touring back in 2008 for similar damage also attempted break in damage.

If its on finance/lease get onto the finance company and tell them you are rejecting it due to the bodywork defects. Tell them you want an independant inspection carried out on the bodywork and the only way you will accept the car is with a full professional detail.

They wont want the hassle of taking the car back and if you can get trading standards on your side, all the better.

This will be only the start though - it took me the guts of 8 months to sort my issues, all the time without the car and all the time with the lease not getting paid and going against my credit history. When it was finally sorted though, the lease was quashed and the finance paid off.

Nightmare buddy, I dont envy you having to fight with a dealer over this.
