    Hope this is in the right section, and hope someone one here has had more experience with this head unit than me it's be laying about me house for a few years (In it's box, in mint condition).

    I have just fitted a Kenwood KDC-W6537U head unit every thing is working grand except for the fact that I cannot use the 3.5mm aux input on its own. At the min I have to use an old iPhone plugged into the iPod connector which then allows the head unit to activate the aux input.

    Anybody got any ideas on why this may be? From looking in the instruction manual there should be an option under source for the AUX separate from the iPod/USB source, but it's nowhere to be found.

    Any help is appreciated.
    Kind Regards
    Colm

    not 100$ sure, but if u hold in the left knob, for a couple of seconds it should throw up some options for you. scroll threw them, hopefully one for activating aux in?

    This, you have to turn the Aux port on for some reason. Took me ages to figure out how to do it when i had a Kenwood before. I had to do this:

    it should appear in your sources then.

    @davecoupe
    Thanks, I kept missing the standby menu; I knew it had to be on it somewhere.
