Footage only of it static and racing round the track. Mmmmmmm not sure tbh, interior is fantastic but looks rather plain on outside.
Personally speaking no but I will admit that the latest models have very few distinguishing differences between A, S and RS models.
to the regular person, it doesnt look a lot different from previous generation, and all the model variants look more or less the same, all joe public sees is a different set of wheels and a badge.
Looks and sounds nice (albeit a bit plain) but I think I'll be sticking to my 8P for the foreseeable!
I wish they'd flare the arches on these or something. I know they're probably saving that for an RS model, but a little bit more aggression wouldn't go amiss. Love the interior though, it's funky.
Audi designer must have the second easiest job in the world behind the iPhone designer. I wonder are the ever planning on realising an interesting looking car again? I know it's all about brand identity but there must be some merit for innovation out there?
It's a bit plain on the outside and tbh it's looks dated even before it's released. The seats, steering wheel and centre console look really nice but the dash itself looks quite cheap and the compass looks tacky.
They just copied everything thats great about the A1, interior especially. As for the S model, i looks quite toned down compared to the 8P or is that just me? I think like the A1 the new A3/S3 will be a grower, i mean i hated the A1 when it was released but and now look:
It does look well but really feel they need to design the S models in a way that sets they apart from A3/A4/A5 etc
Looks a lot like a grown up A1 to me too. Agree the difference on the S/RS is very subtle, but that has always been the case, has it not? More Q-car than any other. Actually, in some of the drive-by shots it looked a lot like my 8L S3... The side profile especially.
It was such a pity IMO that more effort was not made to the 8P to distinguish between other A3 models. Personally I can spot an S3 off a mile away but the flared arches were kept for the RS3
Agree with you on that, I remember going to see Agnew's very first 8P car when it landed, I was really disappointed with it in the metal. It didn't feel much better than the 8L I had at the time.... I couldn't justify the cost to change so went over the road to Bavarian.
I have seen 3 around Belfast/North Down. Grey, red and black cars. Grey one is stunning, sounds superb too.
if you havent have told me that was an S3 id have thought it was a 2.0 tdi! Speaking of RS3....got a spin in a TT RS yesterday, if it goes anything like that then itll be quite the hot hatch!
