I have two fitness first memberships for the newtownabbey club.

It is £12 a month and is a super club

I am not selling these I am wanting someone to take on the rest of the contracts there is a year left it ends in April 2013. NO MONEY WILL EXCHANGE HANDS. In April 2012 hopefully you'll get a Gold offer which allows you to bring another person to the gym for free.

both contracts are the same and both dont need to go to the same person.

Moving house and unfortunately can't keep these on. It's a fantastic offer, there are all the weight machines, free weights, cross trainers, steppers, rowers, treadmill and loads of classes with little or no extra cost. Sauna is free but there are also sunbeds. Really good deal and you'll struggle to get the same deal at any other gym.

If u cant sell and need out of yer contact go see your GP and get him to write a medical excuse, fitness first will accept this once they overcome their usual hate fullness attitude, that's Wat I had to do years ago when I lost my job and they said "so what u still have 9 months left at £36.99 a month"

I've been a member at ff for over two years and love it. Trainers are helpful and the equipment is great.

Good offer for someone to pick up!!

Yea I was the same the thing is there money grabbing b****s and don't care. But I was thinking of breaching the contract by just handing my card put and letting anyone do it and they will cancel it cause I've breached it but they have that covered.

I would like to give someone to take it off my hands and into a good deal with out all the starting fees and all that crap.

I gave them a quick ring and they said that it can be done but we need to change over the contracts first and then change the home club but if you want to ask questions at connswater about changing first then go for it mate. Or I could try and change the club first then change the names over.

To be perfectly honest, I don't understand that original post. Are you currently paying 2x £12 per month (£24), but due to the fact you're moving house you can't continue the membership and they won't let you cancel?

Is that the jist of it? If they let you hange clubs, why not change to 1 closer to where you're paying rather than losing out on a years membership of £288?

I have two memberships one mine one my fiancées. I'm moving house (when i say moving house i mean owning a house) and I know it's sounds stupid but I need every penny I can get. It just one of those things that has to be cut.

They won't let me cancel cause that's just the way big companies are, ff suggested someone else take it on and I thought that wasnt a bad idea.

How will no money exchange hands though? Have FF confirmed you can DEFINITELY swap a contract to someone else's name)

I meant no money will exchange between us. FF have def 100% confirmed you can swap the name over. There's a £10 admin fee but I will pay that cause your taking on the rest of the contract.

So I pay them and you get your money back from them?

How did you get it for £12 per month anyway!? Is it the off peak membership or is it anytime?

No no Im not getting any thing from this, think of it as a phone contract and half way through you decide to give it to me I take on the contract till it ends. Just a simple swap of names. I think is the off peak weekends and week nights cause I'm at work during the day tho I did use it during the day and never said anything. I haggled with them and they done it.

Only on the premium plans. If that £12 is the reduce off peak membership(which I suspect it is) then its only valid in the gym it was purchased. Unless you can transfer it as stu says.the it's only valid in the gym it's transferred to. But it is not a free pass to all ff gyms

Appearantly you can use all the express clubs which newtownabbey is but that is the only express club in norn iron. My membership is a home only membership didn't bother me as I'm not traveling around the country.
