This is meant to be the home of drifting in the land of the rising sun. Great video... [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=edr7hR8H3bo]YouTube - Ebisu The Soul of Drift (HD)[/ame]
Well Chris you would definitely know - im getting a while hankering for this drifting lark - watching too many videos about it You have been there Chris?
many many times, but its quite far away, Fukushima, northern part of Japan (just had a quake there today too, but all ok) Its definetly drift heaven, picture a huge mountain, with tracks placed all over it, 1min i'll hunt out an old pic... Just one of those places you wont believe to you've seen it, awsome! Can be reached by train too if you're ever in Tokyo
Wow thats amazing Chris - thanks for the pic. I could easily tempt the girl friend to go to Toyko shes really into travelling. You'll have to show us around and take me up to this place if i come out dude
Yup Kuma owns it, but i really can't describe the scale of Ebisu, its like a small town haha, VERY wealthy man/family! From the 'front gate' its a 15min drive up to the first track, HUGE place! Safari park in it too! Sooo many track variations too @ Nazor, definetly dude, you guys would have a great trip, definetly be something to look into
only thing is if i went out there, i wouldn't come back home lol. i love the idea of spending what looks like a summer evening in the dusk having some craic with your mates down the track tweaking your pride and joy.
OMG that video makes me want to go to Japan even more so!!!! Chris you are one lucky man to be submerged into Japan, its culture and its way of life. I envy you lol
yeah, there's no way to explain the 'grassroots' scene/culture and lifestyle, but the vid explains/shows it well... I still remember my first time at Ebisu, watching this red S13 kicking a$$ around track, pulled into the pits and met the driver Yui, 20 year old...
yeah speaking, reading & writing is getting there pretty well (hiragana and kana, about 1800 more kanji to go lol) Yeah girl drifting is HUGE now, some awsome drivers, you wouldn't believe to you seen it i'll load pics up later...
thats the one language i'd love to learn, i'd rather learn that than my own native language lol yeah please upload them, id love to see them. you should create your own blog lol
i've a blog in Japanese, and used to run another for years, but never much time anymore, i'll link you... Reminds me, i think its time to update my Photo thread
x2..... Watching Vids from Ninjaland and even the USofGay... makes you realise how **** the car culture here is. Northern Ireland is just too small! With people who wont try..They live the culture... we paddle in it at the weekends... Example.... People who said that some of the RMS meets are too far away.... NORTHERN IRELAND IS NOT BIG!...
lol hill bill yeah if the car culture here was anywhere near the level it is in the US or Japan id happily go anywhere on the island for meets and shows.
