That's rediculous! They're fecking chancers! Go to the insurance comapny and advise them exactly of what the bodyshop have told you about reasons for their shoddy work. Take pics of the shoddy work and tell the insurance company to "get the finger out" and get the car repaired by a creditable bodyshop or you will take legal action
Good luck, hope it works out. So many chancers when it comes to insurance jobs... Can give you the name of a really good painter/body shop if you need somebody else to do it properly.
She is doing step two this afternoon. Like you said, she's already been back to them about it and fobbed off ref the colour match j
Just contact your insurance company and tell them your unhappy with the work. As said before they send out an accessor and he marks down what needs done. Easy peasy
sounds like porters in Portadown a guy who was in my class was hit on the wing the fixed it and the car came back 2 colours so the repainted the door and rear quarter to match the wing!!! the went back 4 times until they eventually resprayed the WHOLE car to get it matching!!!!
Bodyshop wouldn't/couldn't help. Too much trouble to custom match paint - claimed only to be able to mix paint to manufacturers paint codes (which wouldn't be much help when spraying a 18 year old car imo...). In the hands of the insurance company now. Spoke to Direct Line myself today and they were very helpful. Will keep you posted... j
some cowboys about , how do they even have the cheek to hand it back ,a run in the paint is a disgrace for a body shop
