Diesel prices over the border

    Went down last nighe folks - took £66 to fill the car to the absolute top. I filled it a few weeks back at Go and it was £80 so theres a big enough difference. Also it was only showing 20miles left in tank last night so it was properly empty.

    haha, took me all of 2 mins. When you do 5-600 miles a week you can fairly quickly bang out these sums in your head.

    Fuel has been set to rocket to £1.50 for about 4 years now. Wouldn't worry too much about it just yet. If the £ gets stronger (which it seems to be) then fuel prices will soon drop. Oil is cheap as feck at the moment, we're mostly getting shafted on exchange rates.

    Thats not quite true, government are getting 75% of the total cost of fuel, so who is actually getting shafted by what....

    Am for Dublin at the weekend so a fillup will have to be in order.

    Remember when there was a vast difference years ago, every Friday night (payday) was the run over the border to Bridgend to fill up the tank and save £10 ................ never as busy there now
