Anyone daily drive over the bridge on the M2 following queens island say heading to the city airport/bangor..

Every bloody day i hit that second expansion gap on the bridge, it feels like i lost the 2 front wheels every time and i slow way down... people behind me dont usualy appreciate it. But on the inside lane of the bridge theres 2 tracks of tar maybe that you can drive over and not have to sink into what feels like a foot deep hole. Why couldn't they of done that on the outside lane?

Anyone else pised off at the roads they have to daily drive on?

I think the new M2 work is a disgrace. The surface is terrible for being brand new.

True, I think Pikeys could have laid a better surface on the M2, it makes me sick driving over it there's that many undulations.

There are guys digging the road up round my way and making a total balls of it. Really rough and messy job. 8inch high ruts, loose edges, potholes developing already, etc and they haven't finished it yet!! Only started a few weeks back too.

I hit a pothole the other nite comming out of markethill heading to newry and bust the rear passengers side tyre, rim was ok that god but i cant see the expansion track on that bridge going to do my wheels any justice either.

Is there anythin we can actually do about it?

I just complained to the road service about the road near me, hoping they go down and ask the contractor wtf he is at. I guess if enough people complain they'll at least have to open a file on it lol.

German contractor Lyons or craters left behind by the blitz? Tell us more!

Can't see a name Lyons, deffo not the road service folks anyway 99% sure its a subcontractor but none of his machinery has his name on it... one lorry, mini digger and about 3 or 4 guys. Looks like he's improving the drainage on the A2 shore road between Ballywalter and Ballyhalbert and making a right pigs ear of it too.

often wondered that myself, why cant they just fill the lot instead of the two tyre tracks on the inside lane

i assume it was filled cause it was the worst of the lot

they might be trying one to see how it goes. Being an expansion gap it might turn into a mess.

We reckon speed ramps are inevitable but as people use that as a short cut :(. Everywhere else has them already.

We didnt get anything about speed ramps either, but i reckon they'll be coming. Wouldnt have thought your chances of fighting them would be high either.

And yet for some reason, you could go for a random drive in the country and the road surface is absolutely bloody perfect, recently TARMACED i.e. not ****ty tar and gravel for miles upon miles!

yea dad and the builder with the aston, the guy round the corner with the cl500 and 2 others, was put together to stop the Civil Service taking over and using Ormiston as offices. they fought it and stopped it due to the increase in traffic flow, young kids about, and poor access to and from it.
