Going on Tuesday to get the mrs her first car, she's just passed her theory but hasn't got her practical yet so she obviously cant drive it home. The wee car is taxed & mot'd but as its at a dealers it's not insured. Anyone know what options I have insurance wise for getting it down the road? Would my fully comp cover me 3rd party or do I need to arrange cover for a few hours?
Ring your own insurance company. They should be willing to provide you with a cover note if it's only to get the car home.
