Yes, I should blow the dust off it and stick a few pics up.
One of those bikes that's been 80% finished for about 6 years. Life keeps getting in the way.
Pic dump! First run is imminent, just waiting on one or 2 parts coming and we're away. First start was such good craic, the exhaust is gonna need some work to quieten it down a bit, it might as well be straight-piped
Brake cam was totally seized in the drum, no wonder they didn't feel right. Front feels good, excited to test them on the road
Everything wired up bar the rear brake switch and number plate light which I haven't designed yet, unsure if ill bother cause I don't even have the bike test!
Wet sanded out pretty nice too! Need to decide where to stick on my badges now, think they're off a cb550 and they're very nearly too big for my tank but I love the colour
As promised, a sound clip! (hope it works) very lawnmower like and that's as quiet as we can make it with that muffler stuffed with steel wool
And some more pics of the bikes together. Such a pity the helmet I bought is such a different green, actually prefer the shade of the helmet too gonna have to buy a cheap one and paint it next
Few wee bits and pieces to tidy up or add and that'll be it ready to ride. Starts on 1 or 2 kicks when you've worked out the technique. Gauge works too! Was even reading 130kmh at one stage just call me Valentino Rossi how right that is I'm not sure
List to finish
Correct length throttle cable
Tank badges
Rear brake adjustment
Align headlight and gauge
Frame touch up
Chain tension
Sprocket oil seal replacement
Tune carb for pod and exhaust
Finish taping loom
Make plate holder
Design rear brake switch bracketry
I'm sure there's plenty more
