Was with Direct Line. Renewal came through at £680 +. A big capital F That!!!!!

Quick look on the meerkat website, and I'm substantially less going through Admiral.

Just watch with Admiral, once you get your policy through and get the app, your asked to put on your location data. It'll not be used to give you a worse review - allegedly.

Yeah another F that, and opt out, thank you very much!!!

I may receive a better renewal next year if I put my location data on.

Yeah right, cos you'll not drop the premium next year at all, will you - thriving ar5eholes!!!

I downloaded the app, Seen that, said no and deleted straight away. Sure you don't need it anyway

Admiral are annoying though, the pattern of the last few years has been they give the best quote to insure all 3 cars then the following renewal is too much compared to shopping around so have to remove a car from the policy and then like this year they give a good quote to get all 3 insured again.
No doubt next year I’ll have to remove a car from then again

What’s the app for? Admin sort of stuff?
Generally yes.

Been busy today, so my mistake as i had a quick look earlier, but enough to know that im not enabling location data for Admiral. I thought there was a choice, as I previously posted, but they want it on all the time!!! So this is their black box, and they say you could benefit from providing location data for the next years renewal. Yeah - right!!!

Screenshot asking for location data.

Been with them for probably 6 years and yeah they do mess about a bit, never really know what they’ll say and can change hugely day to day when adding to the policy mid year.

But they generally are the cheapest in the end.

We were just talking about this at a family get together the other night. It's incredible the amount of people that either don't want to haggle or even realise that better deals can be had by just doing some comparing online & picking up the phone

Not car insurance but pet insurance for a dog and a cat. It went up by £550 and when I contacted Bought by Many they were surprised we didn’t want to renew it.
Got better cover for less than we paid last year.

Same, my cat insurance was up 100%! No claims and they are 3 years old. Even when doing comparisons even the most cheap basic package was either about same as I paid last year for a middle ground cover, or costing more. Explain that one.

I was one of these people for years with my house insurance I was paying £900 a year then others told me they where paying £300 I was like oh right I must try that now its only costing me £346 a year. S6 Insurance renewal came through I have been paying £600 a year for the past two years they are now looking £1482 erm nope not happening.

I auto renewed this year with AXA. Any comparable quotes i got were only about £50 of a difference. For the hassles I will pay the extra £50 and know that everything i had last year remains unchanged. Id be wary of getting cheaper elsewhere and then finding out when its too late that i had missed something when taking out the insurance and have to pay more in the long run.

For the sake of a few quid id agree with you but I think the point being made is for the people who dont think to check other companies and may be getting their eye wiped

I've been with Admiral for 6 years now, multi-car policy actually got a £100 reduction this year and that's with another car added to the policy since last time, mileage is low on all cars but I have all 3 insured for £1160, Mini GP3, GTI Clubsport S and my Rover Mini, thought that was very good tbf, always price around each year to check but I've never found them to be out of the way, even when more expensive it's only ever been by a small amount and not worth the hassle of changing cars to separate policies etc.
