What's the best thing to remove dead flies from the window screen and front of car... There is some that just don't want to come of the bloody car

    Thanks

I got some stuff from Neil at Cleanmad. Works well. Just spray on, leave for a few minutes then power hose off. The worst bits might need a light rub with a mitt

I use whatever blue spray window cleaning stuff is in the bottle (probably autoglym fast glass) and then a new sharp Stanley blade. I use it on its own but you can get a holder if you like, and scrap them off. That gets all the stubborn flies off. I hate them flies that fly along at a 100mph into your windscreen!!

Got the in Tesco, non stick pan version is softer yet tough enough to lift the buggers.

I have industrial strength TFR and it works a treat when applied neat with a lambswool mitt after the washing process (washed with Hi-Foam TFR through the pressure washer, rubbed with a lambswool mitt and allowed to sit for a minute), then just power washed off... Yet to be beaten by bugs...

Give Stuart at Prestige Car Care a shout on 07976 905607 and tell him Nicky sent you. He'll look after you, and he delivers (y)

I use a citrus degreaser, diluted. Let it soak for a few mins then power hose off.

Tfr although it probably removes all ur wax n stuff so I only use it on stubborn bits and on windscreen well watered down it still shifts and 25 litres is bout 15 quid for turtle wax stuff which will last a lifetime and comes in handy for pre soaking patios etc for a blast of power washer

I have a 5 gal drum of TFR which has lasted me years, as part of every wash the no-plate and backs of mirrors get a quick spray and they just fall off.

Just used one myself there, chemical guys bug bugger, spray on, dwell and then powerwash off with ease. No nasty splat stains left after either

G101 also as its really cheap and can be watered down 1;5 and the gallon will last for a very long time also handy for interior and engine bay cleaning.

I have a few of the Meguires lambs wool mitts. Wool on one side and a mesh to remove flies on the other.

Cost about 6 quid and works rather well.

(The mesh is soft enough for paint)

Also epic for engine bay degreasing and general off-the-cuff cleaning requirements prior to a spectator heavy section of a rally :p

I use TFR in a squirty bottle, let it soak for a while then powerhose off. Or if at a show, kitchen wipes are a great job, takes them off with no effort at all!
