It's been a long 3 weeks.... but it's back again this weekend - whoop whoop!!

Hopefully the clarification of the rules, ref flexi wings and some developments brought to the cars over the break (who actually believes that development stops over the break? sure the factory is closed, but im pretty certain the engineers are still switched on) will lead to a great weekend racing.

    Thoughts, opinions etc?

i'm hoping lewis wins as always, vettel will beat webber, but if it rains, as it is now i think button and alonso will prevail

Roll on the eddie jordan banter

Feck the racing, i want to watch the scrutineering ;). The RB wont have changed too much and will be a flying machine up 'eau rouge' hill. If they are, they wont be beat.

A proper track and the usual threat of rain aswell this weekend....should be good (y)

Looking forward to this gp. Everyone now really needs to start making huge efforts if they want to win title with it so close.
Might be biased, but i think alonsa will be hard to beat here. (y)

In my opinion this is the best track/grand prix of the year. always look for it on the calendar when it's released at the start of the year.

Eau Rouge upto Les Combe is an incredible sight. would love to be in the grandstand at Eau Rouge

Soaking wet this morning and could rain all weekend.

    Go McLaren

I hope it rains, should see both Mclarens do well if it does, if its raining from the start I'll say lewis, if not button has shown he knows the score with tyre choices, if it doesnt rain I could see Massa doing well here.

Spa is always a great race (y)

Anyone's guess if it rains, of not then RB or Alonso. We know Massa will not win anything this year.

McL definitely behind, but the track should suit them, so who knows?

I hear RB have not changed a single thing. They still pass the new tests. Apparently the wings get 600kg or so when driving. The original test was 50kg static, now upped to 90kg, so still a long way off.

Big upgrades for Renault, like a whole new car. They reckon they can mix it with McL now, so Kubica might be right up there too.

Don't you mean Alonso isn't fast enough to get past on his own, but he's riding Domenicali. :p

The moaning cheating Chorizo just qualified 10th, lol :D Massa the "slow" up around 5th :p Go Massa :)

As usual, Lewis getting every last drop out of the McL, up in 2nd behind Webber on Pole. Aussie showing up the German pup (A)

All is good in the world, just hope the race tomorrow is the same :)

The first session was mental, but enjoyable. Webber seems to have kept going since before the break...but with rain forecast for the afternoon tomorrow, anything could happen.

Another bad mistake by Petrov, especially considering Kubica's pace

missed this, but looks set for a good race.

as said hamilton should be able to get a look at webber on the first lap although kubica might surprise them both. It should be interesting to see who vettel can run into this week (although it wont be his fault again).

Lewis was on fire that last lap.

Should have gotten pole on effort alone!

Tomorrow should be good if the weather chips in as usual :)

From my strictly Ren. point of view...

How the hell did Petrov manage to spin on the warm up lap? A monkey could tell you those hold water. After doing so well thats got to knock his confedence.

As to Kubica. 3rd!!!... Go on son! The R27 engine may have less HP than the MP4-25 but its a dam sight quicker off the line. The start tomorrow should be interesting.

Don't forget Petrov span in Barcalona doing exactly the same thing, obviously not a quick learner :p

Many, more illustrious drivers have done it too. Coulthard did it a few times on the race formation lap in one season and Prost did it at imola one year too.

Looking forward to a good race, Hoping that the McLaren boys can nail the red bulls on the run up to blanchiment on lap 1.....

Forgot Kubica, Renault have clearly had a big leap. Good for him. Add in the rain and general Spa greatness, this should be good :)
