    Honda

Simply because they are more reliable and in my opinion look much better.

Also would be the price..You would pick up a Honda cheaper than most american cars.

They may have bigger engines but japs handling would be better

Just my opinion but I suppose that there will always be a disagreement

I am almost Honda through and through

    BUT

    a DC2 vs a 67 Shelby Mustang

Perhaps your comparison charts are out of date, but the value alone on the two cars differs by around 100,000 pounds.

67 Mustang, whether a GT500, 350 or just a nice fastback every day of the week over a DC2

Dontforget that they may have 10l V15's, but you'd be sure they'd still only put out 250 bhp and weigh about 3 ton^:o)

ben, glad we can count on your for valid input :D

Why the **** would anyone choose a rusty kit kat wrapper of a honda when they have a 67 fastback

No comparison either in looks, noise or ermmm, looks or ermm, noise. But then the mustang is a proper classic in my eyes.

I'd rather poke my eyes out than own either.

Plus why the one sided poll? Why not jap vs muscle? Why just honda?

Honda - You only think they are fast until you get a drive in a proper fast car. If any other manufacture made a car that revved to 8500, it'd have a lot more bhp and more torque - Vtak sucks.

Yank Tanks - 500000000000000cc, yet not very fast and can't go round corners.

there are times i would agree

Good point, however, i believe it is down to the fact he likes both Hondas and Yank Tanks. Might have picked that up a few posts up ^^^ :p

Agreed, they are quick for what they are, but by no means are they "fast cars"

Would have to disagree with the latter half of that statement though. Toyota, perhaps have done so with the NZR-halfthealphabet 1.6 engine, but its not the worlds most reliable engine. Ford and Vauxhall wont produce them, not due to lack of technology but down to the fact their engine design and build just isnt up to scratch. As ford required a turbo to produce 130hp from the RST, Honda were producing 150+ from the B16 in the CRX and it handled infinitely better. Before you begin in a responding arguement make sure it is relative ;)

but still, the noise is just epic

Ive test drove a few hondas and hated every one. The S2000 agnews let me drive had a roof like a nervous priest in Antrims serious crime unit and rattled too much. Put me off for life and the lenght of time the V tec took to actually excite me was measured in hair growth and not seconds as it should be.

The missus has a 2.2 civic oil burner that is a great car considering she does 100 miles a day to and from work.

I just dont get the V tec as a daily driver. Totally useless.

The 2.2 CTDI's are fantastic cars

although, without sounding like a fanboy, the vtec unit concept was an ideal design for daily use.

below 5k you have a wee shopping car, run about town, not overly quick, and returns fairly good mileage for fuel useage.

then the weekend comes, you nick the keys off the missus (make sure the oil is topped up) and go for a razz.

Admittedly it is a totally different way of driving to most NA and turbo'd cars as you must rely on revs as opposed to torque, as such some people find this doesnt suit them at all.

Much in the same way i cant bring myself to own a ford despite how many good models they have made over the years, i just cant do it. Something about them just slaps me in the face and shouts wise the **** up
