    Hi all,

During the winter months I just can't be bothered to drag all my cleaning gear out on a Saturday and TBH I don't always have the time either so more often than not the car just tends to get a hose down at the garage jet wash, I was just wondering if there are any products that I could pre treat the car with that would aid this cleaning as I don't put the brush near the car I don't want to strip any of the wax and protection of the car but it usually doesn't look too much better after just a hose down.

Any help would be great, cheers.

Bring your own sponge to the jetwash that's what I do saves you using the manky brush

Im exactly the same! I use the Fireglaze stuff that i got off Nigel (Ferret). Only apply it once every couple of months but it really does keep all the crap off and makes it really easy to just wash it down using just the jet wash!

I just keep my car well waxed and use a foam lance and power hose during the week to keep the car clean and it works a treat, then use all the gear once a week. Although it still means getting the hose and stuff out as I wouldn't leave it outside for the gypsies. Foam is the way forward, throw it on, back inside for a brew and back out to rinse it about 15mins later

Was about to ask this myself, I find the powerhose doesnt really shift much of the dirt off my white car, any recommendations for wax for white paint to help cleaning?

Depends how much you are willing to spend. I'd recommend valentines road and track(can be bought from procar) or dodo juice supernatural or supernatural hybrid

I used the Jeffs werkstat sealant on mine a few weeks back and couldn't recommend it enough. Very easy to apply and sheds dirt very well. You can also apply a wax on top of it

All I have at the minute is a meguairs wax and dodo juice spray can't rem the name of it, but dirt seems to bond itself especially to the back of the car

I would really like to try that citrus stuff, my car is well waxed and I do use snowfoam but even I I just use this and rinse I still have to drag the jet wash etc out, was really looking for an option where I can get most of the stuff of paying a couple of pound at the garage jet wash. This citrus stuff could be the answer, anyone local stock it or a similar product.

The beading is so good after this and the smell of it is brilliant. Dodgy little hand grenade bottle though :(

Should I be using it each time I use the meguiars wax or is it just a top up as such?

I would say Red Mist is a good top up. LSP's can last for months, so after each wash just give it a quick spray with the RM to top up the protection.

Dodo juice say use it maybe 4 or 5 washes after wax as a top up. I use it after one wash a week usually. Just for that extra gloss!
