After an extensive assessment process, which culminated in contact and successful discussions with AI Autosport we are pleased to confirm that with effect from today Greenlight have added AI Autosport to our approved 'tuners with pedigree scheme'. The scheme is selective and places AI Autosport alongside proven remapping specialists with pedigree such as Bluefin (Superchips), Mountune and Evolution chips. With effect from today we can confirm that should a remap/conversion have been carried out via AI Autosport we will be rating this in line with the preferential basis of the scheme. A headline example of this would be that in the event an AI Autosport remap/enhancement impacting less than 40BHP had been carried out to your performance vehicle this would result in the vehicle being rated at the standard rate for the performance car without the modification (ie. Golf GTi 200 with stg1 remap/conversion under 40BHP increase would be rated as standard Golf GTi 200). Those of you with existing AI Autosport conversions, remaps or even more minor modifications (inc induction kits, suspension or exhaust) are automatically included, so please remember to specifically disclose the name AI Autosport when listing modifications upon any new applications for Insurance made with us. Inclusion of modifications from AI Autosport (under a 40BHP increase) for existing Greenlight policyholders will be included without a premium loading. Only our standard administration charge will apply to mid-term amendments. As a modified vehicle Insurance specialist we are able to cater for some really extreme modifications (including AI Autosport NOS conversions) and do feel those of you that have spent to enhance your vehicle to your exact specification represent people who will usually take greater care of their vehicle than the average motorist. So if you have modified your vehicle and it is greater than a 40BHP increase your vehicle will be rated preferentially on a bespoke basis under our tuners with pedigree scheme.
