View in 1080p for best quality This was my first ever time editing video in any shape or form, I really enjoyed it even though Adobe Premiere was a nightmare to render with, hopefully I will get the chance to do more in the future. Apology if you were drifting at the event and I missed your car in the video, with mixed weather through the day it was impossible to get decent quality video's all day and I have just used the best of what I had. Big thanks to Uel Linton (Capture Photography) for providing the camera and capturing the video's on the day.
Some nice drifting, but the blur effect is overused mate, was starting to give me a headache by the end... Good music choice too, better than the 90% of rave/trance you normally see on these.
Song is great BUT has been used a dozen times since the Fatlace boys used it and is kinda played out IMO. I know of at least 4 video in Ireland using that tune. Editing wise you've done a pretty decent job for the first time. Watch were you cut the clips too and use quality shots and forget about getting to the end of the song, modify the song if you have to. Camera work - that focusing in and out is okay for a shot now and again but it was way too much - i know you didnt shoot it bro but you need to tell the camera man that more effort should be put into the composition of the shots than trying to do fancy DOF or whatever.
I think you were standing opposite us mate! Great first video - yes, many issues - but... it's the first video, so it's good attempt!
Thanks for the C&C Patrick, that is what I was looking for! Next time we are going to try and get some more equipment to hopefully make the shots better! Choosing songs is mega hard, I havent seen the song used in any other video bar the Hellaflush one 2 years ago, it was either that song or Clint eastwood by Gorillaz and I decided to go for that as I thought it was "less known" here lol I had a total nightmare rendering with Premiere, POS program.
Well i wont name the videos but put it like this if Hellaflush use it or some of the big names in video use it you better bet your bottom dollar that it will get played out. Song choice is probably one of the most critical factors when doing a video like this - get it wrong and your in trouble. I sit for hours trying to find tunes that people wont have used. Last year i shot myself in the foot - one of the OMGdrift guys had made a video and wanted me to critique it - he used a song that one of the top videographers used in a video that was just released the previous week. I told the guy he should change - he did and he chose a song (unwittingly) that i was about to start editing the ProDrift Punchestown video too - i was mad! but it meant i never completed the video Keep it up though!
Good vid, well done fella, also good to see that your car isnt just for show either That bmw M3 saloon looked to be having fun! (including the editied spin at 3:00 lol)
