What are the options to integrate an aftermarket kit with an OEM screen, for example that found in a 3 or 5 series? I thought Alpine used to so something, but I can't fun it on their site. Is there anything that will utilise the screen and allow it to display track names etc from an iPod? Or even an aftermarket sat nav unit too?
Intravee II for iPod integration with BMW Nav. Had one in the M3. Works with an Alpine iPod controller. http://www.intravention.co.uk/
Does it literally connect to the factory screen? And songs are selected etc via standard buttons? How much is it and what all actually comes with it? Looks almost too perfect!?
You need the Intravee II and the KCA420 http://www.toysinyourcar.com/acatalog/intravee.html Full integration of playlists, albums etc. Had one in my last 2 E46s.
Not sure, you may need the Intravee switch for that. Sign up to the Intravention forum and ask, they're very helpful over there
I found this; http://mybimmer.net/alpine_tme-m770s_VehicleHubPro.htm I'd love to know if anyone has ever stripped the OEM screen and put the front panel with button on in front of an aftermarket screen as a false surround. It looks very doable!
I think the alpine KCE 425i is what your after lyons. They're used a lot with the audi nav plus systems and seem like a very good job
