goodluck... if you dont mind me asking, is Anthony Kieran still involved with this? I seem to remember a few years ago he was working at this.
Hi Marc and Pablo, Thanks! Yes, Anthony is a director of Used Cars NI. He is not so much involved with day to day running of the site now as he manages another business in the group called Media Lightbox (Upload files, store files online, Media Lightbox). Cecil
Best of luck, our family business advertises on it and I've had to email Emma Marley there a few times, always very helpful and prompt responses. Some competition for AutoTrader will do no harm!
Cant say Ive ever advertsised on it...but Ive bought a couple of vehicles. Better, simpler website that AT, and the fact its cheaper to advertise is a bonus for sellers. AT is a ripp off.
Please don't move away from your simple interface, I really hate AT now to slow and clunky with too much flash going on. All the best.
great website i found my car on here only thing i can suggest is to show the date posted? a friend said he was phoning up for some and he was told the car was sold off months ago..
have my dads car for sale on this atm... simply because i refuse to pay autotrader the ransom they want!!! And so far the responses have seemed promising good site, easy navigated and has a decent variety of motors
sold cars Hi Plexo, Thanks for this comment, we'll look into it. It wouldn't happen with a private sale as these automatically drop off the site after 28 days. With dealer cars we have less control as some dealers do actually have a lot of old stock, and just because it has been on a good while doesn't mean it is sold. We put a lot of effort into making sure dealer stock is updated on time and correctly, and have a system for flagging up dealers who haven't changed their stock recently which helps a lot, but I think we'll need to look at this again and see if there is anything else we can do to tighten it up. Cecil
Another thumbs up for Used cars ni, the website is so much easier to use than AT, Will be advertising a car with you shortly, high hopes for it selling, RMS discount? lol, The sites expansion in to other sub divisions was a great move
Emma Emma is on maternity, due any day now . Stephen is the main contact at the moment, but you might also get Melanie or Lee if you call.
Bought and sold all my cars on here. Love it, dont even bother with Auto Trader anymore. Keep up the good work and as said keep the pricing and structure of the site the way it is.
RMS members Do you think we're made of money?? What we would like to do though is run a few competitions for RMS members and give out free gifts as prizes. Any ideas?
sold cars We were a bit worried about this one so we did a random survey today by picking 40 cars from the site at all different prices and calling up about them. Luckily every one of them was for sale. The other thing we did was review the different processes we have for making sure the stock is kept current, and all of them are working OK. We can't guarantee that you won't find the odd car that has been sold for a while on the site, but we can tell you if it happens it will only be the very odd one, and if you let us know about it we will look into it.
Have just put my scooby on it a few days ago, it said if you do not get the car sold it stays on the site free. How long does it stay on for. Perhaps I have read this thread wrong but it says the car drops of the site after 28 days or so ??????
You get an automatic email after 28 days and if it's not sold you can click on the link in the email to keep it on the site for another 28 days.
