Right - 8" rims are FINE on a sapphire, the problem with escort cosworth alloys is the offset, not the width.
In my opinion Escort wheels look turd on anything but an escort cosworth - you can pick so many better rims for a sapphire. |

You need silly looking tyres on the Escort wheel to prevent rubbing - as i said its due to the offset being specific to the escort cossie. Esc cossie wheels only look right with the correct tyres on them. Also as you have an 8" wide wheel, you want to make the most of it and get the wide tyres on, gives more grip.
