Default Hallelujah my car is now 100% working

I had almost given up hope on getting my car 100% working until Thursday night when the final problem was resolved. Now the steering works perfectly, the fans don't come on by themselves, the engine now starts and doesn't need topped up with water and the turbo doesn't make a wierd noise anymore (and that's only the major problems). Almost a year later I finally have a fully working car!

A big thanks must go out to all those from RMS who have helped to get this yoke up and running 100% again - Bazmcc and pobmk4 in particular!

I don't think there's anything left to go wrong. Golf engine, Golf gearbox and Golf radiator fans installed now all from low mileage cars.

It's a nice feeling when a problem gets sorted.
But Curtis may have a point.

Did it still work out a cheap car after all the work or were you into good original car money?

I don't know - I certainly couldn't have bought a real VRS diesel for the money I have spent on it. I could have bought a higher mileage straight car for the same money though. I have lost count of what it has cost me - I did have a spreadsheet up until the engine work so I have a rough idea.

I really do like driving it though which is why I got it fixed rather than passing it on.

Well that didn't last long... went out tonight to get a chinese and the car started beeping like nuts once again.

Now the ABS and ESP doesn't work anymore. I've checked the fuse and it's ok.
