Default Imola Red E36 BMW M3 Individual

Had been dreading doing this car for a while now - Imola red E36 M3. I've done quite a few bmw's in the past and generally find the paint ok to work with, but this one was a bit of a nightmare as the paint was extremely hard! I spent 3 hours on the bonnet alone trying to get it near an acceptable standard, but some rids just wouldn't shift. Somehow managed to persuade the other half into lending a helping hand, which was much appreciated

Process

Wash - Megs shampoo plus
Clay - Poorboys clay
De tar - AS tardis
Polish - Menzerna ip3.02, 106fa, 203s, 3m fast cut plus
Glaze - Clearkote red moose
Wax - Chemical guys 5050
Wheels - AS tardis, megs quick clay, poorboys wheel sealant
Arches - Megs APC, megs all season dressing
Tyres - Megs APC, Chemical guys new look trim gel
Trim - AG bumper care, megs all season dressing
EXhaust - wire wool, autosol, megs all metal polysh
Interior - mats APC'd, AG vinyl and rubber care, AG leather cleaner, AG glass polish, CG cherry air freshener
Engine - Megs APC, AG vinyl and rubber care, Megs all metal polysh

Pics

Car before was very swirly, looking a bit pinky and plastered in tar

Clay bar was plastered after doing the lower half of the car, pics after lower half of one door and rear bumper.. also picked up some red paint that someone had touched in

The bonnet was one of the hardest places to correct, along with the roof and tailgate

wing, before/after

quarter panel befores and afters

tailgate before/after, please excuse the polish residue in this after pic!

Big thanks to Ruth amazing results!!

I know it was pig to get any results on that paint!!

Cheers

She didn't leave a cloth behind its a little cushioning to to stop the ballasts of the HID's rattling.

The indicators didn't quite work the way i wanted it to, wanted them to match in with the headlights a lot better but it didn't really work out that way!
